The Second Hand is a puzzle adventure game about a ghost possessing clocks in his old clock shop that is being run by his niece now. The shop is on the verge of being sold, and the player gains powers to influence the decision.
My role on the project was to create a comfortable workspace for my teammates using agile techniques that I studied in the Production Practicum class the same semester. Apart from that, I was collaborating on the mechanics core and programmed essentials for the game systems.
Additionally, I developed concept art and the visual direction of the game. I also managed 3D and animation assets and was responsible for engine implementation of those. What was challenging about a project like ours, we had to fully control every animation frame in the game to be able to play it in reverse, which made the basic Unity animator system very inconsistent to work with. I managed to find a way to make this process comfortable for me and our lead programmer.
